    Rubbing & Clearance Risk

    Ground Clearance Math

    Every 2 inches of tire diameter adds roughly 1 inch of ground clearance, half above, half below the axle centerline. But don't confuse tire size with approach/departure angles, which depend on bumper design.

    Fuel Economy Impact
