Understanding Bolt Patterns
What is PCD (Pitch Circle Diameter)?
PCD is the diameter of an imaginary circle drawn through the center of all lug holes. A "6x139.7" pattern means 6 lugs on a 139.7mm diameter circle.
Common Pattern Names:
- • 6x139.7 = 6x5.5" (GM, Toyota, Nissan)
- • 5x127 = 5x5" (Jeep JK/JL)
- • 6x135 (Ford F-150)
- • 8x165.1 = 8x6.5" (RAM HD)
Why Hub Bore Matters
The hub bore is the center hole that fits over your vehicle's hub. If the wheel's hub bore is larger than your vehicle's hub, you'll need hub-centric rings for proper centering.
Important
Toyota trucks have larger hub bores (106.1mm) than GM/Ram (78.1mm). This means Toyota wheels won't center properly on GM trucks without adapters.
