Off-Road Campground Database
Discover 8,100+ campgrounds across all 50 states
8,100+ campgrounds across all 50 states, organized for people who arrive in a truck, Jeep, or overland rig. Every listing shows site count, season, hookups, elevation, GPS coordinates, a five-day forecast, and the nearest 4x4 trails ranked by straight-line distance, so you can pick a camp that sits near the route you plan to run instead of two hours from it.
How to use it: start with your state, then look at the trails listed on each campground page. Straight-line distance is not drive time. A campground can show 12 miles from a trail and still be a long drive around a lake, a canyon, or a closed forest road, so open the map before you commit. Every listing has a Get Directions button that opens the address in Google Maps, and most have a phone number, which is the fastest way to confirm hookups, fees, and season before a holiday weekend.
What the data is and is not: listings are compiled from public campground directories and land agency data. Where we could not confirm a detail, the page says "not confirmed" rather than guessing. Hookup, fee, and season information changes, so treat the listing as the starting point and the phone call as the final word. If you find an error, use the Contact page and we will fix the record.
What else is on each page: a packing checklist built from that campground's amenities, cell signal and road condition reports from other campers, and links to the matching trail pages so the whole trip plans from one tab. If you are not sure which campground fits, the 8-question campground quiz narrows the 8,100+ options to a shortlist based on your rig, budget, and how far off pavement you want to be.
