Row River Backcountry is a moderate 50+ miles off-road trail near Cottage Grove, OR. It requires a properly built 4x4 with All-terrain tires, 4WD with low range, Tow strap and is best run April - November. Stock trucks and Jeeps are not recommended; plan on the required modifications before attempting it.

Row River Backcountry offers a distinctly Oregon experience combining gold mining history, covered bridges, and lush forest exploration. Forest roads climb from the Willamette Valley floor into the Calapooya Mountains, passing through the historic Bohemia Mining District where rusting equipment and collapsed structures tell the story of Oregon's gold rush era. The roads wind through second-growth Douglas fir forest with creek crossings and seasonal waterfalls adding to the adventure.
