Stock trucks and Jeeps are not recommended; plan on the required modifications before attempting it.

Gold Butte National Monument is a remote red sandstone wonderland near the Nevada-Arizona border. Ancient petroglyphs, Joshua tree forests, and vivid red rock formations make this one of the Southwest's best-kept secrets. The roads require 4WD and traverse increasingly remote desert as you penetrate deeper into the monument.
