The Entiat Mountains rise between Lake Chelan and the main Cascade crest, offering one of the most remote and least-visited backcountry areas in the Washington Cascades. Forest roads climb from the warm, dry Entiat River valley through zones of wildfire recovery and old-growth forest to alpine meadows with views stretching across the North Cascades. The area's remoteness means you'll rarely see another vehicle, making it ideal for those seeking genuine solitude.
