Start with Fins N' Things in the morning to get comfortable on slickrock. After lunch, tackle Hell's Revenge while you're warmed up.
Grab breakfast at Moab Diner, lunch at the trailhead, dinner at Moab Brewery.
Drive out to Canyonlands NP early. Elephant Hill's tight switchbacks are best done before the crowds arrive.
Pack a cooler lunch. Celebrate at Eddie McStiff's for dinner.

Everything you need to know before heading to Moab
Best Time to Visit
Spring (March-May) and fall (September-November) offer ideal temperatures (60-80°F). Summer can exceed 100°F, making slickrock dangerously hot.
Where to Camp
Sand Flats Recreation Area offers closest access to slickrock trails. BLM land around Moab has free dispersed camping. Book Canyonlands campgrounds early.
Vehicle Prep
Minimum: 4WD with low range, 32"+ tires, skid plates. For expert trails: lockers, 35"+ tires, winch, rock sliders are essential.
Water & Fuel
Carry 3+ gallons of water per person per day. Top off fuel in Moab before heading to trails. Nearest gas to Canyonlands is 45+ minutes.
Safety First
Never wheel alone on technical trails. Carry a satellite communicator (no cell service on most trails). Watch for flash flood warnings.
Photo Spots
Golden hour on slickrock is unbeatable. Colorado River overlook on Hell's Revenge, sandstone fins at Fins N' Things, and Elephant Hill switchbacks.
