The road climbs steadily from the Naches Valley through dense forest before emerging onto the exposed ridge, where panoramic views unfold in every direction. On clear days, Mt. Rainier dominates the western skyline, Mt. Adams rises to the south, and the Cascade Range stretches north beyond sight. Sunset and sunrise from the ridge are transcendent experiences.
