About This Campground
North Rim Campground sits at 8,200 feet in ponderosa pine and aspen on the North Rim of Grand Canyon National Park, a short walk from the rim. Recreation.gov says it reopens June 1, 2026, with portable toilets, no potable water in camp (buy it at the General Store) and showers and laundry closed for the 2026 season. Wood and charcoal fires are banned. Many sites are tight, uneven and tree lined, so large or tall RVs cannot fit. Stays are capped at 30 days a year.
