Copper Country trails wind through Michigan's Keweenaw Peninsula, where the ghosts of America's greatest copper mining boom still haunt abandoned mines, ghost towns, and forgotten roads cut into ancient volcanic rock. The landscape is raw and beautiful, with Lake Superior's massive presence dominating the horizon and old mining roads providing access to some of the most remote terrain in the eastern United States. This is overlanding with history embedded in every mile.
