The Arizona Peace Trail is a 680-mile overlanding loop through western Arizona's most dramatic and remote desert landscapes. Starting from Parker on the Colorado River, the route winds through the Sonoran Desert past ghost towns, ancient petroglyph sites, and abandoned mining operations that tell the story of Arizona's frontier past. The terrain ranges from sandy washes and rocky ridgelines to mountain passes and river crossings. This is true expedition-style overlanding, requiring careful planning, ample supplies, and self-sufficiency. The reward is some of the most unspoiled desert scenery in the American Southwest.
