What to expect
There are two check-in points. Mountainside, at 5591 NY-86, handles reservations and the camp store and is the wooded cabin side. Riverside, at 5636 NY-86 about 0.2 miles northeast, handles RV sites and the motel, and KOA says its larger RV sites sit along the Ausable River.
KOA lists pull-through and back-in RV sites with full hookups, 50-amp max service, Wi-Fi, propane, firewood, bike rentals, kayak, canoe and SUP rentals and a dog park.
Getting there
From the south, KOA's directions use I-87 Exit 30, left on Route 73, right on Route 9N toward Jay, then left on Route 86. From the north, take I-87 Exit 34, follow Route 9N toward Jay and turn right on Route 86.
