Perry State Forest offers a unique off-road experience through southeastern Ohio's reclaimed coal mining landscape. Former strip mines have been transformed into a network of purpose-built ATV and ORV trails that wind through regenerating hardwood forest, past unique terrain features left by the mining era, and across ridgelines with long views of the Appalachian foothills. It's a story of land restoration told through the trails themselves.

Ohio's ATV trail system in reclaimed mine lands is one of the most unique in the eastern US.
The forest is named after Commodore Oliver Hazard Perry, hero of the Battle of Lake Erie.
