The forest roads skirting the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness offer a unique overlanding experience through some of America's most pristine boreal wilderness. While vehicles can't enter the wilderness itself, the surrounding Superior National Forest provides hundreds of miles of forest roads with lakeside camping, stunning northern lights, and the sounds of wolf howls echoing across mirror-still lakes. This is where the Midwest feels like Canada.
