# Cathedral Valley Loop

**Vehicle requirements:** 4WD with low range, all-terrain or mild mud-terrain tires (31–33"), skid plates recommended. Stock-to-2" lift handles most obstacles.

**Best season:** March - November

Capitol Reef's remote northern district where 500-foot monoliths rise from the desert floor like ancient cathedrals. River fording required,no bridges, no guardrails, no crowds.
